3d printing and Webcam Questions - Raspberry Pi Forums

hello all. brand new raspberry pi thing. have no idea im doing between , youtube can make it. want latest model, raspberry pi2 model b. using run 3d printer (mine compatible checked) makergear m2. want able monitor prints while im not home via webcam , control printer anywhere using octoprint. questions. 1. if purchase this, able control if @ grocery store iphone? or need connected wifi able control it? says connected on same network , wondering how worked , id appreciative if explain how works. if maybe tell me how octoprint work printer , maybe set ups, great. 2. types of usb webcams can accept? id microsoft hd webcam on amazon. either 1 http://www.amazon.com/microsoft-lifecam ... oft+webcam or 1 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/b004ab ... pdkikx0der
if neither of these work, can give me work uses? new of need explained. 3. how go installing camera software if need be? also, pi 2 model b come pre installed means run it? ive ever used windows , bought macbook pro, interfaces ive ever used. id appreciate help. im intrigued technology , computers , thought great start learn stuff. appreciate responses. thank you!
