Extremely high resolution images in PDF

when inspecting pdf resolve issue regarding images picked image in acrobat , selected "edit image" opened in photoshop. went check images size , resolution , noticed image in 0.05 x 0.03 inches , 32,768 dpi!!!!!! images in pdf now.

the original image source file 5.963 x 4.8 inches @ 300 dpi.

what cause happen. have older pdf of same document , image sizes ok. did optimize pdf.

it sounds if resolution being set incorrectly when exported
to photoshop. doesn't sound problem in pdf.

you can double check resolution of particular image
* editing image in photoshop
* noting size in pixels
* printing page in acrobat , measuring in inches
* divide width in pixels width in inches dpi.
