hey, i'm complete noob switched on ubuntu 9.04 (got yesterday) windows vista , i've been having major issues second life new operating system. message saying computer not meet system requirements despite fact never got message when running on windows vista. when logged second life choppy sound , in each time have used linux viewer beta since yesterday shuts down entire computer instantly. heard compiling viewer, again, i'm noob this... step step noob guide help. advise?

i'm using hp laptop 8200 nvidia card 2770 mb of memmory.
