Thread: Can not find my partitions!!


i have 160 gb hard drive. have 4 partitions: 2 ntfs, 1 ext4 , 1 swap. trying install karmic. when go advanced partition manager mode during installation, can see 160 gb single partition, ubuntu says unallocated. says no other operating system detected. have jaunty in ext4 , vista in 1 of ntfs drives.even gparted shows 1 160 gb unallocated drive. problem. please help. btw, when checked disk before installation said 1 file may have error. similar problem? trying install 64 bit version.

i don't know not detecting jaunty, ntfs partitions not going show method reading & writing them not part of default ubuntu install (you have install special package read/write them).
