Use the value from sensor to trigger Pin output

hello,

i want make automatic load cut off when load reach > 3a.

the load 12v dc motor. have tested current of motor in between 1a - 2a, when it's running normal load. current increasing when gets heavy load. don't want burn motor, want set maximum current load @ 3a stop running. i'm thinking use arduino hall current sensor module acs712 30a module control it.

is possible do?
