Adobe Acro 8: Update of AcroPro.msi on AIP fails with windows installer error.

hi,

creating aip adobe acrobat 8 files.
have created aip without problems.

when try add patches aip using msiexec /a "" /p "" windows installer error saying:

"this package not opened. verify patch package exists , can access it, or contact tha application vendor verify valid windows installer patch package."

what can cause of this?
the update packages fresh downloads adobe.com.
using winxp sp3 windows installer 4.5.
