Installing Drivers HELP

hi guys jut been given arduino uno , im having trouble installing driver. have found modded 1 on here that's supposed work better tried no avail , followed procedures on site. i'm running windows 8 , have rebooted allow me install un-written drivers still have got no , wondering if 1 me please!
