Pi3 hanging at rainbow screen - Raspberry Pi Forums

i've received pi3 , attempting running. have couple of sd images (a 32gb card formatted under noobs jessie , 64gb card image installed directly). each of these work happily pi2.

when try boot pi3 using either of these cards hangs @ rainbow screen. i'm using quality 2amp power supply runs pi2 wifi card , cordless kbd/mouse happily. 2a supply cause of problem or issue lie elsewhere?

did update cards using

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

prior moving pi3?
