Subwoofer volume control - by servo?

hi,

i control volume of subwoofer.

a servo comes mind, witch turn poti, there maybe smarter electric part, arduino controlable poti?

you can use digital potiometer.   i believe there 3 types of digital pots.   serial controlled, parallel controlled, , pots go or down one-count, time send pulse.
