Moving my Joomla-installation - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i have several times tried move joomla-installation server. have followed right steps, new site doesen't work properly. components won't work.

the problem when move site owner of files set different in original installation. causes problems when want change permissions, , why components being difficult.

my solution problem far has been make fresh installation, reinsatall components , import database. there has got better way?

please help!
