Preview Issue

we have upgraded acrobat 8. while have checked both tiff or pict previews, have few machines not generate preview when saving pdf eps.

placing in quark or indesign results in white (not gray) box no info in it.

using indesign cs3 quark 6.5

mac pros running 10.4

behavior correct on similar machine running 10.5

have tried choosing between asci , binary or postscript level?

also, not need save pdf eps when placing in indesign. can remain pdf.
