Thread: Startup and shutdown Sound - please help

hey everyone. created custom .wav sounds use login, logoff, trash, etc. applied them through system--->preferences--->sound---->sound tab
when restarted computer none of them took. went in , checked , still set custom .wav file.

doing wrong?? has else had problem?

not big deal have spent while making these sound waves use.

i have same problem on jaunty. took me number of tries make jaunty not automatically reset sounds default. now, although sounds point custom .wav files, nothing plays on logon, logout, clearing trash etc. kind of annoying when you're unable customise simple aspect of ubuntu , not work.

nakama85, try this method , see if works you. did not work me, people have had success using method.
