DMD w/o "dmdcon"

hello, purchased 16x32 dmd similar 1 found @ : http://www.freetronics.com.au/collections/all-products/products/dot-matrix-display-32x16-red#.vmvq3cl6jqb
i'm trying connect arduino nano don't have shield, "dmdcon", comes freetronics dmd. i've studied schematic dmdcon, found @ bottom of link above, , have 2 questions:
1) besides rearrange pins ribbon cable plug directly arduino?
2) in schematic, "c", "g", , "d" pins go? more pins connect on arduino?

please let me know if there's more information need, , thank time.

cdg appear un-connected pads on conn board.
