Thread: Flash 10 in Hardy Heron?

i've been unsuccessfully trying flash 10 work in hardy heron , wondering if can tell me i'm doing wrong.

i've been trying install flash 10 using .deb file obtained adobe's site instructed this site.

however, after flash 10 supposedly installed , try use in firefox, seem have no flash players available @ all. typing "aboutlugins" in address bar shows no flash plugins available. then, when browse site uses flash, i'm prompted install flash plugin. "plugin finder service" window pops up, , lets me choose 1 of 3 flash plugins install. choices follows:

1. adobe flash player (installer)
2. swfdec player adobe/macromedia flash
3. gnash swf player

far, i've been choosing first option (adobe flash player (installer)), seems re-install flash 9.

gives? know how can flash 10 working?

thanks,
nick

uninstall flash or whatever may have installed. go here , download .tar.gz flash file. right click , extract here. put resulting libflashplayer.so file /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins or /home/username/.mozilla/plugins.

.mozilla hidden directory in home folder. ctrl-h show it. need make plugins folder. restart firefox.
