Thread: Cheap IP camera that works in Ubuntu?


i had exciting find yesterday, stock of discontinued linksys wvc11b ip cameras @ surplus store $50 each! that's cheapest i've ever seen ip camera.

have application use 4-5. i'd use these in ubuntu , seems video can streamed ie using ocx plugin.

bleh.

current ip cameras start @ twice these - , of these ie-only well!

know of *cheap* ip camera works in ubuntu? i'd using wired.

mplayer http://user:password\@hostname/img/video.asf
since can optionally save stream video files or whatever, you'll have kinds of flexibility managing video here.
