Starting Omxplayer from cold - Raspberry Pi Forums

i'm wanting use pi play videos on tv. have not yet decided how going control it, moment logging in via ssh , working there.
if log in , launch omxplayer, comes "have nice day ;)".
however, if "startx" first, works fine, if shutdown x-server.
assume starting x , stopping leaves running omxplayer needs, presumably need set running: , how do it?

sorry if 1 of obvious questions has been asked hundreds of times, have not yet found answer. :(

can give complete omxplayer command try run ssh, parameters , filename ?
