SOLVED - Modify or create & upload a template - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i quite new in joomla thing, question following:
how modify existing template (color, layout etc.) or create (through program of macromedia studio???) , upload site??? quite ignorant regarding code grateful if give me simple instructions not involving intervention in code...

i suspect simplest 'start' might replace logo image of template 1 of own same size , type. unzip template .zip, find logo image in 'images', replace own, rezip template , install on site, select template. after gets little more complicated.  :)
