Pages Icon Button in Left Column Disappeared

i have adobe acrobat pro v. 8.1.3

in left column, there pages button icon, when clicked, allows see numerous pages in document in thumbnail format. seems after recent online maintenance upgrade, pages button icon has disappeared! have been told friend application must corrupted , should reinstall program, don't want do.

there must way without full reinstall.

anyone have suggestion?

try: view > navigation panels > pages

this may result in floating window can drag , dock usual loacation.
