Optocouplers with a little range, 3-9V

i'm building circuit plan reuse various batteries, ranging 3 9 volts. current switched appropriate transistors (e.g. ztx1049a) controlled uc running @ 5v, plan use optocouplers.

can optocoupler, perhaps 4n25, used range of voltages? need in datasheet?

thanks reading.

why optocouplers?
just adds unneeded parts & complexity.
arduino suited control bjt or mosfet transistors actual current control.
