Which Arduino boards do I need to control 8 5M RGB LED strips?

i control 8 dumb 5050 led strips (color , intensity) operate in sequence. arduino boards need purchase in order make work? have never worked arduino products before have classify me newbie.

pwm (pulse width modulation) need per led channel dimmer switch pretty much.  have been playing around tlc5940 chips control more leds standard arduino can control.  each tlc5940 has 16 pwm , can stacked on each other more channels.  need pwm per led.  each strip need 3 pwms if want control them separate.  if going controlled same arduino work fine solid state relays or rgb shields out there long don't go on specs.  im still newer thats enough info can start looking around bit more on google.  either way uno place start if wana play around some.
