terminal command with misisng output - Raspberry Pi Forums

i'm trying run following commands terminal on pi. tutorials i'm following show these should output terminal. cannot return. there i'm doing wrong?

code: select all

sudo service sabnzbdplus start

,

sudo ddclient -debug -verbose -noquiet

which os , version? raspbian wheezy / jessie?
aiui systemd (as used on jessie) default not verbose old system.
on jessie service start not produce output if successful.

don't know ddclient command, though.
