Problems with creating forms in Acrobat Pro 9

i (sort of) new style creating forms. however; execution leave desired.

i spent 6 hours yesterday adding 20 (a mix of text , check boxes) boxes 1 page on 2 page pdf. every 2 minutes or have crash.

using osx4.11 on 1.67 gb powerbook (powerpc) 17" laptop (system ram 2 gb). made mistake of instead of buying cd package adobe opted download adobe (on 1 mb dsl line) took couple of hours download) created dvd installer disk. anyway after point program asked system password , did reinstall/repair. still didn't help.

in previous versions there way adjust memory cache there none in version. had set 1000 keep acrobat crashing, looking @ pdf. there no way set.

keeps on going have decompress acrobat 8 can forms.

how free space on disk? have tried clearing caches?
