[UPDATE][SOLVED] Problems after apt-get upgrade and restart. - Raspberry Pi Forums

i'm running raspbian jessie on pi b+. i've completed 100 package apt-get upgrade , restarted, booting straight desktop. optical mouse , usb keyboard no longer work , unable use ssh access pi desktop pc.
noticed during restart these lines:

systemd[1]: systemd-modules-load.service: main process exited, code=exited, status=1/failure
[failed] failed start load kernel modules

have flashed backup image , don't see above message , works should. image able change preferences boot command line, ran

code: select all

apt-get update && apt-get upgrade

again. failure message there again , keyboard working using startx open desktop left same problem of no mouse, keyboard or ssh facility.

advice on how start debugging problem gratefully received.
