please refer post, i've added link bug filed possible solution (albeit dirty fix) cause feel has been found.

i've done fresh install of karmic on laptop (was running since alpha 2), decided clear out...

now, no matter how configure power options, never work. i've turned off "everything" (screensaver off too, blank screen timeouts, etc) yet laptop still going blank screen after 5 minutes regardless if plugged mains or not. i've tried clicking "make default" , rebooting, nothing...

happening on both laptops since fresh installs of karmic. before karmic (jaunty) settings fine, , no issues @ all!

getting bit annoying, watch films on laptop , blank screen coming on regardless of power plugged in... can't watch damn thing without having move cursor time...

yep, happening me too. upgraded today, screen decides fade after 5 minutes without input no matter power settings are, if video's running. annoying.

so having newest version of rasbian there isnt guids. in command propmt instructed sudo nano /etc/dhcp.conf first off should file empty lol?? because there's nothing in mine. im using eth0 & need commands/ enter /etc/dhcp cd .conf append along lines of code: select all interface eth0 static ip_address=192.168.0.10/24 static routers=192.168.0.1 static domain_name_servers=192.168.0.1 8.8.8.8 raspberrypi
