Advice on how to setup a Pi for remote access - Raspberry Pi Forums

hello all,

i'm looking use pi 2 cheap solution display production schedule spreadsheet on monitor in our warehouse. i'd able update / amend spreadsheet computer in our offices on wifi.

initial attempt doing following...

- pi 2 connected monitor (using raspian , open office show spreadsheet)
- using software 'real vnc' pi remotely connect pi's graphical interface our computers in office

problem was slow despite having fast internet connection , strong wifi signal.

have ideas on better solution idea?

i having spreadsheet published report on web server (a local 1 within network), , use browser on pi display report web page.

browser can set start on boot , load web page. can configured auto refresh.
need make changes underlying data used report, , can simple text file, or use database.
