hi, few months ago connected pi 2b faulty power supply, received on 6v onto gpio few hours. pi has since continued work me in areas; usb , ethernet work fine general use of pi via remote desktop/ssh. hdmi port causes problems... firstly, when pi powered desktop pc can connect pi monitor , display works. when pi powered other device the monitor powers off (screen goes black, power/standby light goes out) monitor has green light on, orange standby list of other devices includes: power 2 different phone chargers, power battery powered phone charger, power desk power supply set 5v. connecting pi monitor without powering pi allows monitor function expected (i.e. sits in standby mode) power applied pi monitor powers off completely. tried dialling voltage applied pi down , found there point 2 other pi-s work fine of these other power supplies monitor. monitor works fine 3 different graphics card. suggestions on have been damaged , why might not problem when powered off comp...

hello! have 8gb image of microsd card , wanted 8gb card. 1 few mb small , tried 2 more cards small. can onto 16 gb card? read resizing "ext4 partition" in post here. i'm afraid mess things , thought using 16gb card easier way. work? yes, can install backup onto larger card, show same size old card until expand file system. if used plain raspbian image, simple matter of using "expand filesystem" option in raspi-config or gui version. if have noobs install there can bit of faffing do, depending on partition layout has installed. gparted may able there, prefer move things around manually. raspberrypi

i've been reading forums , watching tons of tutorials on pi 2 , subject entails, i'm overwhelmed info. in fairness, seem straight forward there lingering questions. i'm waiting on pi 2 planned use media centre running kodi. idea of setting nas (with samba) can mount 3tb external hd. i'll list lingering questions possible in hopes of clarifying few things. 1. can use single pi 2 both media centre , nas? if yes, os work best in situation? 2. raspbmc still available download within noobs software? 3. research, haven't found definite answer os best media centre use. general consensus? 4. can load more 1 os on single sd card? 5. what's best ios app access music on hd, if decide go nas samba route? 6. case fan necessary if plan on clock pi 2? 7. if plan on using usb sound card better sound, there special installation required or plug , play? i'm sure there more questions in future however; getting answers these of significant once pi 2 gets here. ...
