Thread: I broke it... CRAP!

well lots of great people on forum, got machine running pretty sweet week... managed break it... think after playing compiz.... noticed machine locking up... getting weird messages @ restart of course didnt write them down... message packages...

not initialize package information

unresolvable problem occurred while initializing package information.

please report bug against 'update-manager' package , include following error message:

'e:unable parse package file /var/lib/apt/lists/us.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_jaunty-updates_multiverse_binary-amd64_packages (1), e:the package lists or status file not parsed or opened.'

cant run apt-get terminal either... following attempt @ clean up.
