Old Sketch Runs but USB Driver wont start

hi guys,
as advertised in title have pro micro appears working in sketch installed on continues work before.

however, when plug in computer (tried 2 windows , 1 linux) functions usb keyboard (the sketch function) usb device wont start cant update sketch. in windows can see hid keyboard driver load no problems usb driver micro loads (it recognises it) returns error saying device cannot start.

any ideas? half-bricked?
