Is Negative on a battery ground?
hello
i working on circuit 18v battery stepping down 12v go small controller. 12v regulator has input, output, , ground. planning on passing regulator's ground negative terminal of battery, pretty straight forward. i'm passing vout controller , controller has ground can pass controller's ground batteries negative terminal well? wish had better way illustrate this.
(gnd)controller(+)---12v----(out)regulator(in)----(+)battery (18v)(-)
l (gnd) l

all grounds need tied together..
it's potential difference between 2 voltage sources.
