Relinking CiviCRM to a new Joomla ID - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

greetings,

my organization exploring possibility of joomla+civicrm replace our current, in-house db.  , "my organization exploring" mean have figure out , pass on.

we're organization serves other organizations.  thus, while have individual records, working organization records.  of key importance ability each organization keep parts of record up-to-date on own.  in our proprietary db can't, , that's primary motivation move.

as i've experimented joomla & civicrm, i've found creating organization profile , civicrm 'edit' (not 'new'!) menu link in joomla, able have user create , maintain organization's record.  excellent.  however, i've yet find way reassign civicrm record different joomla user.  example, if abc organization's director bob leaves , sue takes over, how can reassign record sue pulls abc org's civicrm info?

you'll have manually.

there table called civicrm_uf_match in civicrm db matches civicrm contact_id joomla user id (called uf_id). if adjust column , change uf_id bob's joomla id sue's joomla id u r set

at point, need deal organization , give editing privileges contacts marked primary contact id's organization. workflow couple of releases away (unless brave soul steps , implements earlier :)
