Plugin access to preferences

two questions:

1. section , key strings avappgetpref______() available 3rd party usage?



i saw legacy keys in avprefsd.h, there must more preferences using new avappgetpref______() calls. in particular situation, i'm creating plugin creates measurement annotations (beyond standard 2d, 3d, & geo measurements built in) , use customers' general preferences "measuring line color", units, etc.




2. can plugins create own prefs can stored avapp?



in case, need store pathname of license key file customer may have anywhere on hard drive.

as far getting other preferences - if can tell me ones need, can find keys need.
