sorry if noob question, can't find addresses it.

is possible create (for example) latest news module scratch, rather modifying copy made 1 listed in module manager? in other words, if delete examples of latest news modules > site modules, there way create new one?

new module seems creating custom modules , can't figure out way create module scratch based on already-installed module.

it not clear question if asking:

i deleted latest news module. how can re-install it?

or

i want make new module similar latest news module. how can create new module based on one?

if need re-install deleted module:

you need hold of 2 files; module's php file (e.g. mod_latestnews.php) , module's xml file (e.g. mod_latestnews.xml), zip them zip file , install them via installer per module

to make ammended version of module, need same above before zipping files, need give them new name , change details in xml file reflect name , filename changes
