pi defaults preferred resolution of dmt (with no sound) , can find no way change config.txt use native cea mode. want avoid hard-wiring modes enable true hdmi swapping monitors time-to-time (also hdmi-drive=2 blanks dispay shows "unsupported mode").

maybe "avoid_fuzzy" help, haven't been able find how works , little knowledge can dangerous thing...

have helpful suggestions how resolve?

realise topic covered elsewhere, didn't want first post confuse detailed technical discussion.

in advance , best regards,
graham s.

moin,

config.txt set-up pretty described in "rpiconfig - elinux.org", see:
hdmi_group=1 cea
these values valid if hdmi_group=1 (cea)

may bootloader work you.

have nice day
