Joomla vs DNN - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i'm trying open online store sell homeschool supplies.  actually, want open 2 online stores; 1 regular store, , 1 ebay store.  have been looking different content management , ready-made solutions put site.  2 seem interesting me joomla , dotnetnuke.

both of them seem popular , have lot of people working on developing new , exciting features , functionality.

as computer network engineer on 20 years of experience, biggest selling points joomla it's opensource, , it's hosted on linux apache.  dotnetnuke on otherhand, must hosted on windows servers, (even though i'm mcse), see drawback.

at moment, however, i'm forced lean toward dotnetnuke because everyplace go has skins , modules dotnukenet (components , templates joomla), has live demo page can see working.  seems whenever go joomla development site, or selling joomla template, don't have actual working site me check out.

this serious sticking point me.  i'm practical guy , want see working.  want test drive before buy it.

if of can point me in right direction ready-made stores easy credit card/paypal shopping carts attractive skins can customize, , working demos try out, i'd appreciate it.

i'd find way not have hosted on windows server, use opensource software, , have configurable setup lazy , non-artistic guy me setup professional , clean looking website our business.

man, sucks.  hoping guys have me out.  keep checking in see if can me find need.  :(
