Phase resistance of bipolar stepper (wrong?)
hi,
i purchased bipolar stepper motor i'm planning run big easy driver. on datasheet, says phase resistance = 1.65ohm +/- 10%. however, when measure resistance, reads 2ohm.
i have double checked part-no printed on motor (jk42hs48-1684) against datasheet, , wrong.
then questions:
1. may i'm doing wrong?
2. matter long adjust current limiting pot on bed?
3. should expect difference in motors performance (and why?)
best regards,
aleksander hansen

unless have resistance meter put difference down measurement error.
the important thing set proper current limit motor not overheat. set current whatever motor datasheet says , ignore resistance measurement.
the thread stepper motor basics may useful.
