stalling while creating pdf

i trying make pdf first time. using aa 7.0 , word 2004 mac v, 11.0. there appears small aa window in word 1 idicated "convert adobe pdf". when active window "acrobat pdf maker" comes up. things seem going along fine until status bar reads 9/10 complete. seems freeze @ point. have tried 5 times , same result @ same point. when open adobe pdf 7.0 monitor - in "active": on top says "jobs stopped" , @ bottom name of word doc. have tried hilighting doc
clicking on "hold" , "resume" hoping jump start -- doesn't work. when click on "completed" list same work doc word doc entry "completed" next it. there no completed pdf doc of file anywhere on hd. what's up?

pdfmaker hasn't reliably worked on mac platform since inception.
update aa 7.0.7.

then before opening aa after upgrading. find file , locate pdfmaker files. should 3 pdfmaker.dot (for word), pdfmaker.xla (excel), pdfmaker.ppa (powerpoint) remove trash.

open acrobat. should either detected missing or damaged files.

allow acrobat fix. if doesn't go menu detect , repair menu , run. possible they've fixed it.
