Thread: Ubuntu 9.04 dual boot wrecked Windows 2000 partition

hi all.

took old pc out of storage , put fresh install of w2k on ntfs partition. installed ubuntu 9.04 defualt settings dual boot. ubuntu works, w2k makes "starting up..." screen, fails "inaccesible_boot_device" blue screen. when run chkdsk, says ntfs partition has unrecoverable errors.

did wrong, , should different when re-install?

thanks.

probably bad hard drive if has never been replaced before, or filesystem may have been corrupted.
