Remote Shutdown System

hello fellow humble friends!

i build "remote shutdown system" involves simple remote control , receiver.

the remote prefer powered 3v coin battery, have opened momentary pushbutton , single led feedback. idea when pushbutton pressed completes circuit , instantly starts sending signal receiver activate, or "shutdown" process it's controlling. assume method controllers battery last longer.

the receiver powered either 120vac and/or 24vdc, (maybe 5vdc in addition well), receives signal , opens closed contact. idea of course can put leg of power through contact , if needs shutdown remotely can press button on remote , open.

now, don't know remote control , need know best option have sending signal in type of system. remote should able work @ distances of 300ft , work outside of house, whilst receiver inside.

also, want able "connect" multiple remotes single receiver, multiple receivers single remote. figure part out later, if has expertise share, appreciated.

thanks in advance friendly , thought advice! alright folks, happy arudino-ing!
