Thread: I can ping sites, have dns servers, and dhcp is set up. But can't browse.

this has me stumped. connected college network, requires me have mac registered (done, windows works fine).

so, when boot ubuntu, try access page in chromium, ,
error 102(net::err_connection_refused): unknown error.

firefox fails too.

resolve.conf has several servers, of can ping, , can ping digg.com , google.com using names.

also, there constant network activity, can't tell process/ports downloading , uploading. (netstat -tupl didn't seem show anything)

don't have network managers installed (for w/e reason).

which browser in windows?
