Android Battery Status

hi everyone,

i informatics student germany , got simple question: found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eavujb3qee4 on internet. asking myself how cable know battery status of phone? (becuase read blinks slower when phone full) short: need know how battery status of android phone arduino (without app on phone if possible).

who can me? :)

the plug contains electronics leds. there current sensor in plug sense how current going phone.
