Controlling 4 pins with pot

hey all

i need small project. need control 5 leds potentiometer.
the leds need light individually corresponding value incoming pot.

eg. when pot reads between value (x) , value (y), led 1 comes on
when pot reads between value (y) , value (z), led 1 goes off , next comes on.

any ideas? know have use if , else_if statements.
