Flexible DIY Potentiometer?

hi,
sometimes, when prototyping extremely useful have sort of flexible potentiometer or variable resistor part within potentiometer.

resistance wire great can find 100 ohm per meter , i´d need in 100 ohm per centimeter range.

i found instructible diy paper potentiometer in see how create flexible potentiometer out of paper , graphite of pencil. here resistance high, in 100 kiloohm range.

furthermore found flexible membrane potentiometers great function bit differently , rather expensive large.

so, there way buy either wire, or bendable resistor metal or perhaps resistor paste or that?

thinking out of box here....

use paper/pencil resistor connect base of transistor (add 300ohm resistor in series paper resistor) , have transistor power whatever is...

since have no idea doing, it's difficult say...
