i running experiment kernel lets use pizero otg networking
got doing rpi-update 2 weeks ago

did atp-get/upgrade/update last night , and 0 doesn't seem work on usb now

have redo rpi-update e.g apt-update revert kernel 4.1 4.4

excuse bad understanding of this!

if using rpi-update latest kernel/firmware bit of dance update using aptitude (apt-get). when use rpi-update file created /boot/.firmware_revision holds version number (well git hash release). if run rpi-update , run apt-get upgrade, upgrade may install kernel/firmware package. upgrade won't change /boot/.firmware_revision file. if run rpi-update, think have latest version reads .firmware_revision file. kernel/firmware installed using rpi-update either need delete /boot/.firmware_revision (this force backup of /boot directory) or can modify /boot/.firmware_revision , change 1 of numbers. re-run rpi-update, reinstall latest kernel/firmware github repository.
