SDL ALSA audio problems when starting emulationstation - Raspberry Pi Forums

ok i've been having lot of fun pi , i've learned solo past couple weeks. way i'm building multi-pi media center , i. having trouble getting set right.

want retropie on , have managed install , getting running after fro. people here i've run new problem.

after installing , running wave share 4 inch lcd can't run emulationstation. when connect tv works fine lcd gets......

lv10 audiomanager error - unable open sdl audio: alsa: couldn't open audio device: no such file or directory
installed alsa , changed headphones no go

tried force headphone jack in raspi-config keep getting error

had exact same problem waveshare 3.5' screen. after looking out every page on internet, i've found solution seems work here :

frame buffering app solved problem.............
sudo apt-get install cmake
git clone https://github.com/tasanakorn/rpi-fbcp
cd rpi-fbcp/
mkdir build
cd build/
cmake ..
make
sudo install fbcp /usr/local/bin/fbcp
type fbcp & , start emulation station

don't understand how solve problem, managed launch emulationstation it. hope it's useful , allow continue having fun !
